Why We Offer Home Visits
Sometimes, treatment at home can be more appropriate. Whether it is due to reduced mobility, feeling more secure at home or whether you would like advice regarding aids, adaptations and equipment.
Our staff have extensive experience and knowledge of mobility problems and know the importance of maintaining independence. We are more than happy to complete a home visit and will bring all necessary equipment required.

At Lakeside Physiotherapy we will happily link with other health care professionals to ensure that we provide you with the very best care. We will always treat you and your home with courtesy and respect.
There are a set of stairs up to the clinic, so if you have mobility problems which prevent you from climbing stairs, a home visit may be a better option for you.
Will you cover anywhere in Wirral?
We try to be as flexible as possible and visit most areas. There will be additional mileage
charges after a 3 mile radius from West Kirby
Do you need my family or a friend present when you visit?
It is much easier if someone else is there when we visit but they don’t have to be. if you do choose someone to be there we will ask for their name and check that you are happy to talk about your concerns infront of them.
Will I be given exercise to do after you leave?
Absolutely – we like to give everyone a bit of homework to do! Exercises and advice will be given to you that are specific to you and your problem. We will go through them all with you so you feel happy in what you have to do.
What if I need equipment to help me stay independent or mobile?
We will go through what we feel might help you. If we feel you would benefit from equipment or aid we can suggest a few places you can get these from. We can also ask your Gp to arrange a referral to see if it the equipment you need is available on the NHS.
How do you take payment for visits?
Bank transfer is our preferred method to avoid any confusion. However we can arrange a card payment at the time or over the phone later. We can take cash as long as another person is present at the time of the visit. Unfortunately, we do not take cheques anymore primarily because there are no banks for us to pay cheques into in West Kirby! . We can also email an invoice to you or a family member and payment can be made via bank transfer.
What If I forget my exercises or advice?
Don’t worry you wont be the first!! We will happily go over them all again, either by mailing them out or on the phone.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes we do. We work with all the major insurance companies and payback schemes such as medicash. Please let us know when you book so we can ensure we work to their specifications.
